Autism Hub for Educational Resources and Training (A-Heart) is a collaboration efforts involving Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP), Perlis Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPs), State Social Welfare Department (JKM) and other agencies, NGOs, as well as generous philanthropists.

A-Heart will provide a special day care and education center for children with autism to ensure the overall development of this special group through therapy, education curriculum and job-based training needed by community members. It is also hoped to enhance the development of these special children through the provision of training, effective teaching and learning, development of technology and educational resources as well as the implementation of volunteer programs.

Autism OR Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex, lifelong developmental disability that typically appears during early childhood and can impact a person’s social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication and self regulation.

People with ASD may communicate, interact, behave, and learn in ways that are different from most other people. The learning, thinking, and problem-solving abilities of people with ASD can range from gifted to severely challenged. Some people with ASD need a lot of help in their daily lives; others need less.

GCINP in partnerships with Yayasan Tuanku Syed Putra (YTSP) Perlis strategically collaborate with MAIPs to realise A-Heart development, for the well-being of the education and health of the community.
