KUALA LUMPUR, 18 August 2020 – A ceremony to sign a Memorandum of Agreement involving cooperation between the Secretariat of International Affairs of the National Dakwah Council (MIAS) and the Malaysian Educational Institution Graduates Association (HALUAN) was held at Menara Pusat Islam, today.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs), YB Senator Datuk Dr. Zulkifli Al-Bakri. Meanwhile, MIAS Chairman, Dato’ Wan Mohamad Dato’ Sheikh Abdul Aziz, and HALUAN President, Dr. Abdullah Sudin Ab Rahman, represented their respective organisations in signing the documents.
This collaboration, among others, aims to assist identified communities or areas, both locally and globally, in areas related to humanitarian and welfare, missionary work, training and human development, education, international networking, as well as women and families. It also involves a combination of fundraising efforts to fund these programs.
This initiative is a pilot project of the National Dakwah Council (MDN) so that community and welfare work can be done more synergistically, sustainably and effectively.
As an NGO that is active and experienced in welfare activities, education and humanitarian missions for the past 30 years, HALUAN will serve as a driving force in implementing the planned programs and mobilize experts and professionals to succeed.
